How do we Learn?
BGEN Annual Conference 5 - 7 November, 2008
at The Eden Project

BGEN’s Annual Conference will look at the way in which people of all ages and abilities learn and how we can adopt current research into our education programmes.

This year’s themes will explore:
• Learning Strategies
• Learning in Nature
• Research in Learning

Workshops will focus on issues such as
• Converting Knowledge in Action
• Web Based Learning
• Natures Playground
• Eden’s “Mud between your Toes”
• Intergenerational Learning
• Working with Gifted and Talented
• Interpretation for Education
• Creative ways to engage learners in Science

Conference Venue
The Conference will take place at The Eden Project, Bodelva Cornwall.

Accommodation
There is a wealth of accommodation in the Cornwall area. Please see the accommodation list (Word doc/42Kb) for some recommendations. Some hotels and guest houses are holding rooms on a “first come, first served basis”. Please contact them directly and quote “BGEN”.

Cost
The cost includes conference registration fee, conference pack, tour of the garden, lunch, tea and coffee on each day and Conference Dinner. Please note that the cost does not include accommodation.

Early Bird Rate - £190 for members booking before 1st September 2008
Late Rate - £225 members booking after 1st September 2008
Non Members Rate - £275
Day Rate – £95
