bgen consists of over 200 members. 
Most are educators in botanic gardens and other centres of environmental education within Britain and Ireland. They:

– Help visitors understand the vital work of botanic gardens, parks and historic gardens
– Raise awareness of plant diversity, conservation and the role of plants in our daily lives
– Work with many audiences including families, school groups and the wider community
– Make links between people and plants around the world

Farming and Countryside Education (FACE)

University of Leicester Botanic Garden

The University of Leicester Botanic Garden is fundamentally an academic institution engaged in teaching and research. Its mission is to explore and explain the world of plants by:
