bgen Conference 2019: Practical information

Getting to the Conference: Entrance to the Conference will be through an entrance close to the Victoria Gate, full directions will be given with final programme and access arrangements in October. Visit the Kew website for directions and a map of the gardens

Wakehurst Tour: An optional tour to the Wakehurst and the Millennium Seed Bank will be available for Conference delegates on Tuesday 12th November. Coach transport will be provided from Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and is included in the price for this day.

Accommodation and Eating Out: We will have optional early evening drinks meet up for delegates on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th November 6-7pm at the Kew Gardens Hotel. There is a restaurant at the pub/hotel and many other restaurants in the area, on Sandycombe Road and around Kew Gardens Station (see TripAdvisor link for details)

There is a good range of accommodation close to Royal Botanic Gardens Kew which you can find online.

Kew Gardens Hotel have kindly offered a special delegates rate of £100 ppn including breakfast on 6 of their rooms, contact the hotel direct for details and to book.

Premier Inn Richmond is a short walk from Kew and the restaurants and bars

Premier Inn Kew Bridge is a little cheaper but a slightly longer walk, though is served by the 65 bus which passes Kew Gardens.
