Talking Plants: How to Communicate Plant Science

bgen Annual Conference 7 – 9 November 2018

The bgen Annual Conference 2018, hosted jointly by Cambridge University’s Botanic Garden and Sainsbury Laboratory,  focused on communicating plant science and research to a wide range of audiences. A hundred people – plant scientists from around the University, the team at the Garden and plant science communicators and educators from across the UK – came together for three days of ‘Talking Plants’ in Cambridge to:

  • Develop knowledge about cutting edge plant science
  • Increase confidence in delivering practical plant science to your visitors
  • Discover where to find new science content and creative ideas to support their work
  • Network with plant scientists, public engagement specialists and other plant educators
  • Reflect on own programmes and gain new skills to improve it
