Join the Botanic Gardens Education Network (Bgen) for our annual online conference, themed Resilient Roots. Over two( 1/2 days), this event will bring together professionals working in botanic gardens, environmental education, interpretation, and public engagement to explore how our sector remains resilient, connected and future-focused.
With an international line-up of speakers, member-led lightning talks, and hands-on workshops, you’ll hear about emerging trends (such as AI in conservation education, urban food strategies, seed-banking education) and practical approaches you can apply in your setting. The conference also offers space for discussion, reflection, and networking in our community setting.
Programme Highlights:
Plenary panel: What does the botanic garden of the future look like? with senior sector leaders.
Talks on Indigenous voices, seed conservation, digital tools for nature engagement, and more.
Workshops you’ll actually use: livestreaming for schools, digital engagement strategies, green skills development, mindfulness and nature connection.
Bgen’s Annual General Meeting and a fringe session to round off the event.
