Joined the Bgen Board in 2022
I have been the Education and Outreach Coordinator at the South London Botanical Institute since February 2020. I coordinate the young people’s programme of school visits and outreach, run workshops in the holidays and organise activities with a wide range of groups local to us in South London. Before that I was a secondary school science teacher, dyslexia teacher and later a primary school teacher.
I have always been passionate about the environment, plants and teaching outside. The significance and importance of plants to our lives, the planet and in tackling the climate crisis is huge, and botanical gardens have a valuable role to play in sharing their knowledge and inspiring others. Bgen workshops have been incredibly useful to me in my work and I am happy to support this organisation going forward.
